Description of site :
The Garoupe Forest (le Bois de la Garoupe) is situated in Antibes, on the seaside. Owned by the Seacoast and Lakeshores Conservation Agency (CELRL) since 1980, this ancient domain used to be an agricultural land where the olive trees, vines and wheat were grown on terrasses retained by walls in dry masonry (built in the 1760s).
Workcamp :
It is in partnership with the Conservation Agency, the town of Antibes and the Association for the Expansion and Application of Ecologism (APEAE) that Alpes de lumière organizes a voluntary workcamp for the restoration of one of the retaining walls in dry masonry.

- boat manufacture in Antibes (where the typical Antibes “pointus” boats are built)
