As part of a vast rehabilitation program on the site, Alpes de lumière suggests a voluntary workcamp aiming this year the reforging of the Citadel entry by the creation of a calade (a pavement of cobblestones) and by the construction of low walls in dry masonry.
FORCALQUIER – REMODELLING OF LA BAULE STREET 02/08 - 23/08
The summer voluntary workcamp of 2008 will aim the reparation of a wall in dry masonry along La Baule Street. This unstable wall that presents serious structural disorders will have to be taken apart and rebuilt.
SAINT-JULIEN-LE-MONTAGNIER – RESTORATION OF MEDIEVAL RAMPARTS 16/08 - 30/08

Alpes de lumière wishes to devote the 2008 workcamp to the restoration of medieval ramparts (repairing of walls, masonry).
SAINT-MARTIN-DE-CASTILLON – RESTORATION OF A BREAD OVEN 27/07 - 16/08

Alpes de lumière initiated the restoration of the community bread oven of the hamlet Boisset in 2006. This summer, as a last step of these restoration works, you will participate in the consolidation of the roofing of the oven (construction of the vault, putting of tiles).
TALLARD – RESTORATION OF THE WALL OF THE CASTLE PARK 07/07 - 26/07
The walls surround the park of La Garenne without making a full circle because in its oriental section, where we are going to work, it is at some length entirely destroyed. The works will consist in the pursuing of the restoration of this wall (masonry).
PONTEVES – RESTORATION OF THE COBBLED PATHWAY AT THE CASTLE ENTRY 09/08 - 30/08
In 2008, the town council wants the realisation of the cobblestone path (the original access to the castle) to be pursued and finally accomplished
MISON – CASTLE RESTORATION 16/08 - 30/08

Construction works in 2008 will focus on further arrangements including security measures and the rehabilitation of the pathway leading to the fortress (masonry). You will participate in the restoration of the walls of this medieval castle. Beware : Works to be done on scaffolding !
ANTIBES RESTORATION OF RETAINING WALLS IN DRY MASONRY ON THE LA GAROUPE HILLSIDE 05/07 - 26/07
It is in partnership with the Conservation Agency, the town of Antibes and the Association for the Expansion and Application of Ecologism (APEAE) that Alpes de lumière organizes a voluntary workcamp for the restoration of one of the retaining walls in dry masonry.
SEILLONS SOURCE D’ARGENS – CONSOLIDATION OF WALLS IN THE VILLAGE 05/07 - 26/07
The 2008 construction works will aim to provide a wall facing on the total length of the retaining walls in the heart of the old village.
SAINT-MICHEL-DE-CHAILLOL – RESTORATION OF THE MALCROS CHANNEL 15/07 - 30/07
You will participate in the taking apart of the water distribution basin walls and, subsequently, in their reconstruction, so as to assure the security and to highlight the beauty of the place. This basin is located on a hiking pathway of the Ecrin National Park, and is marked out by one of the park’s special information boards.
APT – RESHAPING OF THE TOURVILLE ROMAN SITE 09/08 - 30/08
This Roman villa contained some enormous processing buildings with a winestore and pressing equipment for wine and olive oil production, as well as residential buildings (thermal baths, kitchens…). Actively used between the end of the 1st century B.C. and the end of the 3rd century A.C., this establishment was probably destroyed for good by a violent fire. several waves of archaeological search, the soil of the winestore will now have to be levelled out. Parallel to these landfill works, one of the walls along the pathway leading to the villa will also have to be repaired some meters long.
LURS – ARRANGEMENTS IN THE ANCIENT VILLAGE 19/07 - 02/08

In 2008, at this first stage, our voluntary workcamp will aim at the reparation of some wall sections in the village centre.
MARSEILLE - FRIOUL ISLANDS – REBUILDING PATHWAYS 08/09 - 18/09
A voluntary workcamp is organised in 2008 to build walls in dry masonry and to mark out pathways, thus channelling visitors and avoiding their wandering around unattended in this most fragile territory.
