• CASTELLANE - Garden of the old tower 2012

  

  In the middle of the Verdon Regional Park, Castellane is overhanged by its Roc, a gigantic cliff of 184 m. With a church decorated by an ex-voto on its peak, the Roc is a pilgrimage site from where you can have a wonderful view over the Verdon gorge and the village. A line of ramparts, still visible today, has been built in 1360 to protect the new town. At their foot lies the Tower’s gardens, recently acquired by the village.
